Our purpose

Terravia

Mapping health. Driving impact.

The idea behind the map

Making local health information easier to find and understand.

Where a person lives shapes the health risks they face. The information needed to act on those risks should be just as accessible.

Clinicians, researchers, and public health teams work with limited time and tight budgets for outreach, screening, and trial recruitment. The data that shows where chronic conditions concentrate already exists, but it sits across disconnected portals in technical formats. As a result, decisions about where to focus are too often made on habit rather than evidence.

Terravia consolidates that data into a single, readable view. We help public health professionals and residents examine chronic disease patterns across Massachusetts and ask sharper questions about the needs of a given community.

The platform centers on a guided assistant you can ask in plain language. It answers only from the underlying data, lets users explore conditions by county, flags where need is high and access is thin, is transparent about the limits of what the data can support, and cites the source behind every figure.

Our guiding principle
Community health data should be clear, transparent about its limits, and handled with care for the people it describes.
